Clarkston The brief was the conversion of an attic space to form three bedrooms and a bathroom. New dormer windows to the front and side elevation were designed. In order to maximise the floor area of the rear-facing master bedroom, a new vertical wall was built over the existing rear wall with the original slate roof extended back to meet the new vertical wall.
Netherlee The project involved the conversion of a basement area to form a cinema room, toilet, utility area and living space. This required a new staircase from the existing kitchen to the new basement and living area. In order to maximise the usable space, several load bearing walls were removed and replaced with steel beams and columns.
Whitecraigs The client requested an elevated conservatory in keeping with the character of his detached villa. The lower section was constructed in sandstone to merge with the house and the conservatory design blended with the style of the existing windows. Access was gained from the rear dining room via a bay window with new steps formed to the existing rear patio.
Orchard Park A two-storey side and rear extension was constructed to provide a large master bedroom with en-suite on the upper level with a larger dining kitchen and living area on the lower level. Wide bi-fold doors provided natural light to the living/dining area.
